Jeep Patriot Vs Mazda CX-5 Comparison

Jeep Patriot
VS
Mazda CX-5

Welcome to the new 2013 Jeep Patriot Vs 2013 Mazda Cx-5 comparison. Since Mazda has introduced the larger 2.5 litre engine we decided to give it a test and came away satisfied. Since we haven’t driven the 2.0 we can only guess for the direct comparison but the 2.5 litre is a pretty good drive, what we expected in a small SUV and is better than it’s predecessor the stylish CX-7 on the inside at the least.

Jeep Patriot Vs Mazda CX-5 exterior : The CX-5 has modern clean lines and generally looks good. It’s not a standout design as it still looking a little like the older Hyundai i35. The Patriot is the lone box like car in the small SUV class which does make it unique. Unfortunately the box design is not make it a classic so looks a little old.

Jeep Patriot Vs Mazda CX-5 interior: The CX-5 looks good and feels like a nicer place to be. No competition really the Jeep is a cheaper place to be in. However it still has a lot of equipment for the price.

Jeep Patriot Vs Mazda CX-5 engine and technology: The Mazda has all the latest fuel saving and power technology. The CX-5 does not need a CVT and all its annoying characteristics that is supposed to reduce fuel use but does not when compared to the CX-5.

The choice is simple. The Mazda CX-5 is more impressive in every way but its price. It is more expensive because it is the better SUV. The Jeep Patriot is cheaper for very clear reasons. The Jeep cannot be ruled out just because it’s an old design – so you will probably be satisfied if you decide to buy one although you will always yearn for better. The CX-5 is one of the latest SUVs and has all the modern tech you could want but it does cost more.
