However none of these little engines have proven long lived or reliable. The 4 speed auto is simply a ripoff in the base model. Apart from that there are not many advanced features or safety systems. The ASX has a modern but old tech non turbo engine that makes enough power but equipped with a CVT. The ASX is clearly safer and has auto emergency brakes on some models which makes it safer and the price premium is $3000 and priced around $27,000 mark which makes is highly competitive with regular sedans and hatchbacks. That said there are plenty of Deals for the ASX so you won’t be paying this sort of premium.

The winner of the MG ZS Vs Mitsubishi ASX is the ASX. At the 24,000 AUD mark the MG ZS is hard to go past but the mid range ASX is selling for often $1000 is great value. It has the latest safety systems and bear in mind frequent pricing special specials and the ASX wins this comparison. The MG ZS summed up is cheap so don’t expect much but it’s not nasty with only a couple significant flaws like auto brakes not even even as an option. It’s derived styling is the biggest turn off and if parked in the driveway simply shows that saving money is more important than safety. So for now the new MG brand to us means that if you can’t afford a real SUV then a similar looking model as per the MG ZS is what to buy aka the poorer copy. Perhaps the MG ZS is competing with the used SUV market?
