This is the Peugeot 3008 Vs Honda CR-V comparison for 2018. Continuing the current series of comparisons with the latest version of the Peugeot 3008, this time with one of the best small to medium sized SUVs at the moment the Honda CR-V. Admittedly the 3008 is smaller than the CR-V but both overlap in pricing so worth a look.
Peugeot 3008 Vs Honda CR-V exterior comparison: The CR-V is a good looking SUV that uses the latest and retro styling themes. The overall design mostly reminds us of a Volvo or a evolution of their traditional styling which does not mean it’s bad as it works really well, it i.e. essentially what many would image an SUV would look like in 2018. The 3308 is comparison is not what many would visually connect with and mainstream SUV in the first instance, the design is modern and quite different from any other in this class in tier software details although the overall shape is a SUV. The 3008 is arguably a design which none of the major car brands would ever release, except Nissan… Regardless of the comparison both look good outside the showroom.
Peugeot 3008 Vs Honda CR-V interior comparison: The CR-V has a very practical and spacious interior that has few rivals in the practicality of the design and certainly family friendly. Honda is now known for their clever interiors rather than anything else and the CR-V features a clever and spacious centre console that beats every other manufacturer amongst other features. The CR-V’s materials used throughout is high quality but class average in this price range and the overall design is certainly modern and attractive compared to many others. In comparison, the Peugeot 3008 has even better materials, design and tech including full high-res displays. Sure the 3008 is smaller but it feels more modern, sporty and almost luxurious.
Peugeot 3008 Vs Honda CR-V engine and technology comparison: The once tech driven Honda has definitely fallen off pace with virtually all manufacturers, even Hyundai offers more for qual or less. Honda was often compared to BMWs 20 years ago but now it’s just another Toyota which is such a pity. The CR-Vs engine is a modern but simple small capacity turbo charged engine and equipped with a CVT. Safety systems are optional except for the top end models. Overall there is noting out of the ordinary in terms of engines or technology. On the other hand the Peugeot 3008 has the same engine tech but has a regular gearbox
Mazda makes the most advanced non-turbo engines in the world, they have no turbo lag and perform very well. The 3008 has the latest turbo engine and diesel with a conventional auto gearbox and both are for once are class competitive in performance. The turbo charging is a bit of a easy way out so can never win a spec comparison. Safety system are the same including auto brake for 2018 models. The stereo system in the 3008 is pretty good sounding but we thinking the CX-5 has the win in terms of volume but not quality. The high tech digital dash board with so many functions is a killer feature in 2018.
Peugeot 3008 Vs Honda CR-V drive report : N/A
The conclusion and winner of the Peogeot 3008 Vs Honda CR-V comparison is the 3008. Firstly the CR-V can never win in a comparison against any SUV that has auto brakes and the 3008 does and as standard across the model range in 2018. If you need interior space the CR-V is clearly the best model to get but it you want reasonably sized SUV with a nice interior then the 3008 is the best choice. Finally the CR-V is a very good SUV but the key flaw of a CVT which means this is not vaguely performance related but commuting focused and missing some key safety systems as standard across the model range. In the end the 3008 is arguably worth buying over the CR-V only is interior space or looks is not important as everything other way the 3008 is better. Of course the only problem with the Peugeot 3008 is the brand’s lack of solid long term reliability this brand needs the newly minted 5 year factory warranty for 2018 which is much needed and genuine marketing necessity,
