This is the GWM Ora vs Toyota Corolla Hybrid comparison for 2024. One type of comparison that we often miss is the electric vs the hybrid car. However after a drive in both Ora and Corolla Hybrid we can now give you a more detailed comparison and review. So which car and technology is better?

GWM Ora vs Toyota Corolla Hybrid exterior design: Both are quite stylish hatchbacks. The Ora is a good looking hatchback that has a many styling elements of other past hatchbacks but this combination works. In comparison the Corolla looks just as contemporary but mostly it’s own design and looks good too but in a different way. The main difference is that the Ora looks the same until the top range GT just like the Corolla looks better the more you pay.

GWM Ora vs Toyota Corolla Hybrid interior: The interior of both are quite different. The Ora interior is a nice place to be in as it is stylish and clearly  contemporary place to be in. The two tone interior works really well imparting a upmarket ambience. In comparison the Corolla is based on the Toyota design language and material make it a nice place to be in too but it is older in design. It does get a little better the model grade you get though.

GWM Ora vs Toyota Corolla Hybrid engines and technology: We where thinking of listing all the known pros and cons of the Hybrid vs Electric engines but we think is that the main difference boils down to this: It is all about what you use either car for!  If you never go long distance round trips and have access to home charging the electric car is perfect. If you do go for longer trips than the Hybrid is for you. At the current prices for either car the Hybrid still works out more expensive in the longer term but cost is secondary to the current level of convenience of having an abundance of petrol stations.

The conclusion and winner of the Toyota Corolla Cross vs Toyota Corolla comparison is both. The GWM Ora driving experience is best described as good but it has traction, lack of driving involvement except for the poorly programmed driving aids or distractions and we feel ride is due to being quite heavy rather and anything designed. In fact it pretty consistent with and electric vehicle. The Corolla is not as boring  as it used to be but it no where near a Mazda 3 in terms of involvement and better than the Ora. So driving them is essential and arguably the final deciding factor. Since our usage tend to more long distances a few times a year the Hybrid Corolla is the better choice.
