OMG! we forgot to post this comparison! It’s been 9 years since the last BT-50 was released and that model was shared and badged as the Ford Ranger. Surprisingly the new Mazda BT-50 is an all new model but this time shared with Isuzu. This is the final comparison with the two models as the old on has been now been replaced and thanks to the cut in production no run out models to buy.

Mazda BT-50 vs 2021 Mazda BT-50 exterior comparison: Although the new BT-50 is well new, it’s not such a great departure from the Isuzu D-Max. That said the new D-Max is not a great departure from the old D-Max. It is all much of a muchness really in terms of design. That said the new BT-50 front end design is best looking of the current utes.

Mazda BT-50 vs 2021 Mazda BT-50 interior comparison: The interior of new BT-50 is definitely an upgrade over the old one, with a more upmarket design and materials. It may not be as spacious as the old one but it’s not that much smaller. Simply put we like the new one.

Mazda BT-50 vs 2021 Mazda BT-50 engine and technology comparison: The BT-50 has the most modern safety systems but similar engine power as the old one. We don’t think many would care as both have ample power for normal and loaded driving. The bigger stereo screen is a great addition compare to the old even if you will find it hard to replace with a better one.

The winner of the old Mazda BT-50 vs 2021 Mazda BT-50 comparison is the new Mazda BT-50. It’s quite clear to us that the new BT-50 is better than the old one and just as compelling given the minimal price difference and spec advantages.

2011-2020 Ford/Mazda BT-50

Isuzu/Mazda BT-50

Engines

MZ-CD –
