Welcome to the Toyota Yaris Cross Vs Mitsubishi ASX spec and showroom comparison for 2021. Once again it’s a comparison between old and new. The current ASX is an ancient model arriving before many of the other manufacturers and outlasting all of its small SUV rivals. The exterior refresh last year (it’s 3rd) was a great effort and looks mostly like a new model. So is the all new Yaris Cross worth buying over the Mitsubishi ASX?<\/p>\n

Toyota Yaris Cross Vs Mitsubishi ASX exterior: We’ve already said this in other comparisons, that the Yaris Cross is OK looking small SUV but it’s too boring a design attempt to describe it as anything else. The Mitsubishi ASX facelift looks great although the side profile hasn’t been touched and has been around for the last 10 years. Regardless we prefer the looks of the ASX.<\/p>\n

Toyota Yaris Cross Vs Mitsubishi ASX interior: If you thought an all new 2021 interior design was going to be impressive the Yaris Cross is a disappointment, the interior looks and feels hard and has a very ordinary ambience. The ASX interior design may be a generation or two in design and it looks older but it is a nicer place to be in than the Yaris Cross. We call it character rather than older.<\/p>\n

Toyota Yaris Cross Vs Mitsubishi ASX engine and technology: The Yaris Cross has the most advanced engine and safety options available as all new models in 2021 should. The ASX doesn’t quite have the same spec sheet in terms of engines and refinement but at least as competitive safety systems. The winner of the Toyota Yaris Cross Vs Mitsubishi ASX comparison is the Yaris Cross – however we consider both equal winners dependent on your buying priorities. No doubt the ASX still packs a value for money punch for a new small SUV package. It’s a good looking well featured small SUV that is surprising and the only downfall is the top range models which should be at least $2000 cheaper purely due to the aged underbody. The Yaris Cross has many positives but is let down by the ordinary interior and exterior design. As long as petrol prices stay relatively low the ASX will be able to compete.<\/p>\n
