Although the current X-trail pictured here is due to be replaced it is still being sold as a new model hence this comparison. Various refreshes over the years have added a new front end and equipment updates but the basic shape has stated the same for about 8 years. The new Outlander design is immediately obvious but recognisably a Mitsubishi purely due to the front end design which it now shares the same design language as every other Mitsubishi SUV. So both share the same tech but this X-Trail is the less refined model. The more you pay the better the equipment level is.That said the X-Trail no longer has engine options in what we anticipate as the final spec of this X-Trail and your a stuck with the older generation of the new Outback engine.<\/p>\n

The Outlander wins by looking, feeling and having more model tech compared to the much older X-Trail. However the lack of engine options on the \u00a0Outlander at the time of release and considering the price tag makes it quite expensive and slow. That said the car and SUV market has seen price rises across the board in the last 12 months so you just have to accept that this is the new price bracket for any new release. The price increases go all the way to the most affordable cars checkout the latest pricing for the Yaris or Mazda2…<\/p>\n
