The prior generation HR-V and Stonic where perfect competitors in terms of pricing and specification. So is the new HR-V worth the pricing above the Stonic or is it just a rip off blamed on inflation or marketing?<\/p>\n

Honda HR-V Vs Kia Stonic exterior comparison: The old HR-V had a youthful look that’s aged well where as the Stonic was always the more conservative design despite being newer. The new HR-V has contemporary styling as it looks like just about any other new SUV on sale at the moment eg. Lexus, Ford etc… nonetheless it does look more premium but even more conservative than the Stonic. Simply put the new HR-V looks designed by an experienced designer\/s although quite aged compared to the Stonic that looks like one that is still in 1st year design school lacking any new ideas.<\/p>\n

We figure that you would only buy a Stonic if you don’t know any better or simply couldn’t afford a better smallish SUV. We also don’t think this is not a good example of a KIA branding ambitions unless we truly miss-understood their marketing position and we don’t think many buyers (if any) would consider buying another model. Especially increasingly public reports on engine problems mainly self igniting fires, admittedly quietly being fixed under warranty and recalls. Recalls should not be viewed as poor quality these days but that list should not keep growing.<\/p>\n
