The new Honda HR-V has crossed the former small and compact SUV class lines and into the increasingly known mid-size SUV class in terms of pricing but without the required increase in size. So we feel completely justified in comparing with the Hyundai Tucson, which most of the model range is priced identically to the new HR-V.<\/p>\n

It is not futuristic as claimed but the ads more revenge of the prior designer’s relatives? from 80’s and 90’s. That said it is relatively unique. In comparison the HR-V looks already dated and a clone of any number of existing SUVs. Quite the opposite of the Hyundai design. We wouldn’t buy either for their looks.<\/p>\n

The Tucson on the other hand tries to continue the ‘outrageous’ design of the exterior and does essentially meet the bits and pieces design approach. While it feels Ok the materials used are down to a price. The HR-V feels nicer as it looks and feels designed accordingly. Sure the Tucson is the bigger car but the HR-V is more space efficient and feels just a large if not larger.<\/p>\n
