The HRV and Venue where supposed to be direct competitors. However Honda has essentially moved the HR-V to a price range beyond it&#8217;s original and against other higher priced models that it has so far not been able to match &#8211; at least for us. So how does it compare to the Hyundai Venue?<\/p>\n<p>Honda HR-V Vs Hyundai Venue exterior comparison: All HR-V model grades look conservative or bland. It is deliberate and a mistake &#8211; if you want our opinion. In comparison the Venue looks cheap in base model trim and surprisingly good in top level trim. In fact the top range Hyundai Venue looks like a completely different model.<\/p>\n<p>Honda HR-V Vs Hyundai Venue interior comparison: The HR-V interior is a nice place to be in but it does have a minimalist theme. There are some nice touches and you could call it ordinary. In comparison the Venue interior is entry level in the typical of a Hyundai. That said it is only the materials aka hard plastics that detract. We think it is the two tone interior when optioned that lifts the entire design and ambience.<\/p>\n<p>Honda HR-V Vs Hyundai Venue drive report : N\/A<\/p>\n<p>Honda HR-V Vs Hyundai Venue engines and tech comparison: In terms of engines the HRV is the easy winner with the option of the Hybrid engine but the main problem is the uneconomical purchase price. The Venue only has a basic 1.6 litre petrol but it makes decent enough power and torque for an older design. The Venue makes up for it by having all the safety features of the HRV but arguably not as advanced but dependent on model grade. The manual gearbox option on most of the Venue model grades is also a great selling point if you are after a very affordable small SUV.<\/p>\n<p>The conclusion and winner of the Honda HR-V Vs Hyundai Venue is the Hyundai Venue. The Hyundai Venue is not as affordable as it once was but you do get a lot of stuff for the money in 2022. If you opt of the manual gearbox version of the Venue it becomes half decent choice even when comparing with other small cars.
