This is the new Nissan Qashqai Vs Hyundai Tucson comparison for 2023. When released the Tucson was pushed by Hyundai marketing as claimed the future of SUVs unfortunately that isn’t the case in 2023. However it is a decent model that only the owner could truly love. The Qashqai is an all new model so how does it compare to the claimed future of SUVs.<\/p>\n

It the future very conservative styling 3 years into the future. In comparison the Tucson design is not mean to be conservative but to leap frog the current styling themes or so the marketing claims but we think its a plan B when they realised that the rest of the world was doing something that looked like the Qashqai and they had exactly the same thing in mind and wanted something different – which it is.<\/p>\n

It is a generic design so shouldn’t offend anyone. There is plenty of space in the Qashqai although nothing fancy about the design. In comparison the Tucson design team decided to do something different which is admirable. They clearly started with a design like the Qashqai than going this is boring so changed it to the awkward one we see today.\u00a0 However we’ve seen this before in the Toyota Previa aka Tarago vans of the 1990s which it worked then but not in 2023 especially with the quality of materials which are not as good as the Qashqai.<\/p>\n

The Tucson can be optioned the more expensive engine with a out of trend diesel engine and with diesel prices remaining stubbornly high with little fuel saving over modern turbo petrol engines it doesn’t make any sense apart from appealing. Mind you, many counter that saying they have more performance but the need for Adblue, additional maintenance doesn’t help.<\/p>\n

For these sort of prices even in hyper inflated 2023, neither stand out as worth your increasingly hard earned income.
