The all new ZR-V is like a replacement for the outgoing CR-V in terms of size and since the new HR-V is smaller. Our views on the Qashqai so far are mixed, as it is like the middle ground in all respects. So how does the Qashqai compare to the likewise middle ground ZR-V?

Honda ZR-V Vs Nissan Qashqai exterior comparison: These two models have contrasting styling. The Honda may be viewed as a conservative and dated design language but arguably it is deliberate to make it look different from the other brands which look very similar and perfectly represented by the Qashqai. You see, the Qashqai is a nice looking car but the design is quite generic and easily lost in the sea on very similar looking SUVs by any number of brands. Which one you like better is definitely a personal choice.

Honda ZR-V Vs Nissan Qashqai interior comparison: The ZR-V interior uses Honda’s current interior design language. It looks familiar but does not feel as premium as existing Honda models. It’s nice but could have been nicer. The Qashqai interior is likewise a nice place to be in but it does look and feel like any other newish SUV on sale at the moment. Once again we appreciate both designs but acknowledge that it will be a personal decision which one you ultimately prefer.

Honda ZR-V Vs Nissan Qashqai engine and technology comparison: The ZR-V tech specification is pretty good for the price but could be better if it included the subscription features. Subscription options on cars are essentially a rip off no matter how you justify it as they already have models grades which mostly don’t add up to the additional cost, hence forcing people to buy further subscription indicates that you think your buyers are stupid. In comparison Qashqai has the same or more features let down by have a non-hybrid engine.

The conclusion and winner of the Honda ZR-V Vs Nissan Qashqai comparison is the Qashqai. The Qashqai wins on value compared to the ZR-V. Usually the model that has a hybrid wins our comparisons but in this case the subscription options in the ZR-V makes it the lessor model – despite being largely pointless options – subject to change!

Honda ZR-V

Nissan Qashqai

Engines

4 Cylinder –
