Both are brand new models for 2013 and significant upgrades on their prior models. WE think its great to

Toyota RAV4 Vs Mitsubishi Outlander exterior: We prefer the RAV4 exterior design as it is obviously modern. The Outlander design when in the showroom lacks appeal and style. On the road though the Outlander look’s improve, since it uses curves rather than edges like everyone else. And it is similar in concept to the newest Ranger Rover or the opposite probably. That said the RAV4 seems to blend in with the current models but really does look like a high rise Corolla which is similar in concept to what Mazda did with the original CX-7!

Toyota RAV4 Vs Mitsubishi Outlander interior: The interior of the Outlander is good but not great. The quality of materials is essentially industry standard but does not look anything special. The design is essentially a bit dated and simplistic. The RAv4 interior is a complete contrast which looks and feels great. Sure the instruments themselves are very conventional it does work overall. Hence the RAV4 wins this part of the comparison – very easily.

Toyota RAV4 Vs Mitsubishi Outlander engine and technology: Both cars have modern technology but not leading edge. We assume that they are specified for long term reliability and justified when you note all the problems that the leading edge engines have Eg. the VW TSI and DSG gearbox. Admittedly VW claims that the problems are small in number compared to the majority but who really knows the complete picture, as the internet does tend to highlight problems people are having rather than the good experiences. We regard both as pretty much equal.

Toyota RAV4 Vs Mitsubishi Outlander on road: N/A

When faced with deciding which is the best SUV out of these two, it is difficult and honestly only their external looks to base a decision on (apart from which dealer can give you the best deal). However based on value we don’t think either are the ‘best’ value on a pure money decision else the Nissan Dualis is the best choice. When money is no object we currently (early 2013) believe that the Volvo XC60 is the best choice. So in isolation between these two models only the RAV4 is the pick because it presents its self really well inside and out and of course the ‘Toyota’ brand image. If you want something different then the Outlander is the choice.

//
google_ad_client = "ca-pub-2027171236681273";
