To be released later in 2013 we gathered the specifications for you to compare before the actual release. Its easy since both models have been for sale for quite awhile overseas combined with our own showroom review in LA. The details derived here are from around the world so only a guide – until the local versions are released.

There Nissan Juke was striking when released designed along the lines of its Inifiniti brand. Applauded for it’s bold design it’s backed it up with engine and technology that are ahead of the competition. Let’s hope the design is not watered down since that would defeat the purposes of how the Juke came into existence in the first place.

The Ford Ecosport is an appealing and conservatively deigned small SUV. It is for those who find the Juke too confronting and do not want the drawbacks of being stylish. Sure we like the looks of the Ecosport but it a but conservative to look at. Being based on the small Fiesta you would assume that it is small but it really isn’t. The technology in the Ecosport is pretty good. Designed to appeal to the masses

Nissan Juke Vs Ford Ecosport exterior comparison: The Juke still looks great despite being around for a few years. The Ecosport looks conservative like a smaller Ford Territory on the outside. In terms of size we think that the Ford Ecosport is the right size for the masses and the Juke too but for those who want a car with for emotion.

Nissan Juke Vs Ford Ecosport interior : Both small SUVs are not larger or look and feel like premium models hence their low price tags. They are based on smaller hatchbacks However the interior design touches in the Juke lift it from normal to something a bit more sporty and youthful. The Juke’s interior quality and design is also noticeably much better than the Ecosport. The Ecosport’s fit and finish not the best rather its very cheap!

Nissan Juke Vs Ford Ecosport engine and technology : Both small SUVs have the latest technology, but the Ecosport has the engine of the year, a rather special 3 cylinder turbo charged engine. The only issue with the Ecosport engine in this guise is that it only comes in a manual transmission. The regular non-turbo engine in the Ecosport is pretty ordinary. The low end Juke models have regular engines too but the top range 1.6 turbo from the Pulsar will make life more interesting considering it can be optioned with a paddle shift CVT and a special 4WD system based on the legendary Nissan GTR. The in-car computer that allows you to customise the car’s settings appeals too!

We currently like both as they are genuine small SUVs with plenty of features but they do appeal to different types of buyers. The fit and finish of the Ford Ecosport really needs to be fixed as it not very good. We’ll definitely be doing drive reports when we get the chance.

Nissan Juke

Ford Ecosport

<img loading="lazy" decoding="async" style="border-style: initial;
