120 series Toyota LandCruiser Prado VS 200 series Toyota LandCruiser<\/p>\n

Following on from the the 100 series comparison we decided to compare the 120 series and 200 series LandCruisers.\u00a0 The 120 Series was released in late 2002 and available until 2010 and the 200 Series was launched in late 2007.\u00a0 Unusually for a Toyota both models have the same name in different parts of the world.\u00a0Both Prado and and Series 200 Landcruisers are both lovely cars and it may be possible that car\u00a0buyers in many countries where the two models will be sold will cross shop between the them.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 200 series Land Cruiser was released in 2008 and a complete revamp of the 100 Series. The new 200 series is lightyears ahead of the 100 series in every visible way.\u00a0It has been taken up market in terms of pricing and model specification. At the time this was written you can no longer buy a basic version of the 200 series. The 200 series exterior uses Toyota’s latest styling themes and the interior is a noticeable update to the Prado.\u00a0The 200 series is bigger on the inside and outside compared to the Prado. Quality of materials is higher likewise the climb in!\u00a0<\/p>\n

If you really want a bigger version of the Prado then the 200 series Land Cruiser is the car you should get.\u00a0The latest Land Cruiser is definitely not what you’d call stylish but it does have on road presence because of its size.<\/p>\n

Driving the 200 series is a simple task with the only flaw being its size. There is plenty of smooth and deceptive power despite the weight and presumably off road ability. The ride is fantastic along with refinement, quietness that easily compares with pure high end luxury or prestige cars. (Although the interior will need more work) Sure its not a sports car offering less road feel than the Prado but that’s at low speeds! We definitely like what is offers and the only thing preventing us from replacing the Prado with one is cost and that it does not fit in the garage.<\/p>\n
