Similarly and strangely, Honda was once the only Japanese manufacturer that could be compared to BMW, Mercedes and even Ferrari and for its significantly sportier character and technology that was clearly experienced in all its cars. Of course, over the years it too has gone mainstream for sales and lost much of it’s original claim to fame and heritage – which is a pity.

Citroen Grand Picasso vs Honda Odyssey exterior: The Grand Picasso is a 7 seater and the larger version of the regular Picasso, which is a 5 seater. As a result it does lose a bit of styling points nonetheless its still a good looking car. The Citroen does look futuristic as if a concept car we decided but it doesn’t push the boundaries too far as to alienate it from the masses. The Odyssey does not look old next to the Picasso it’s simply a ‘smarter’ look. We guess that the stereo type would be that the Picasso would be described as a female car and the Odyssey a male version both in suits!

Citroen Grand Picasso vs Honda Odyssey interior: The interiors of both vans are very good. The Grand Picasso look better than the Honda easily it very French designers vs the elegance of the Honda. Both interior are great places to be for every one on board. Both have plenty of space and are comfortable although the Honda has better configuration and comfort. We prefer the Citroen based on a very stylish and high tech design yet also like the flexibility of the Honda. You have to decide which suits your lifestyle better.

Citroen Grand Picasso vs Honda Odyssey engine and technology: Both have the latest technology for safety and in car entertainment the only thing missing in both are decent sound systems. The Citroen has the upper hand in terms of presentation cause it just look pretty cool. In terms of engine the 2 litre diesel in the Grand Picasso is better than the Odyssey except for refinement. Apart from the ancient Kia Carnival it’s the only diesel engine MPV in the country. The only thing holding back Citroen sales is the brand’s less than impressive long term reliability and cost to maintain.

Citroen Grand Picasso vs Honda Odyssey road test: Not yet.

If you want a diesel engine then the Citroen Grand Picasso is the MPV to get. Furthermore if you also want the most impressive interiors to look at than the Citroen is the one to get too. The Honda is the MPV for people who value reliability and longer term ownership since scheduled servicing is all that should be required in these sort of cars. Poor reliability and unexpected trips to the dealer is NOT a selling point in cars like this and that’s the choice you really need to consider when deciding between these two cars. Not the the Citroen Grand Picasso is unreliable, its too new to tell but because the entire range doesn’t have a decent record. Finally the Grand Picasso has a very, very tempting price for the specification on the single model available which can only be described a fully loaded.

//
google_ad_client = "ca-pub-2027171236681273";
