These are genuinely the only two small SUVs we genuinely like at the moment! We the love the Juke for being something different despite some packaging issues but overall it rates highly with us. The main reason is the the Nissan Juke is that it is the performance bargain of the small SUV class – by a long shot! It is the fastest and arguably the best handling small SUV. On the other hand the Qashqai is arguably the best small SUV package currently available. It’s not just the exterior by but the interior as well but it does have one or two issues that could be made better.

Nissan Qashqai vs Nissan Juke exterior: The Qashqai is arguably the best looking small SUV on sale at the time of writing and the Juke is arguably the most uniquely styled SUV for sale. Sue the Juke is not the most startling design in 2014 that still goes to the un-Toyota like FJ cruiser. Nevertheless the Juke design hasn’t aged at least it has stood the test of time! Think of the Qashqai design as the 2000’s Britney of SUVs and the Juke as the Lady Gaga of SUVs. We like both for very different reasons and so will you.

Nissan Qashqai vs Juke interior: We like the Juke interior design but wished it used slightly better looking materials. It was good when it was originally released but shows its age. Thankfully the unique style in 2014 and futuristic cloth pattern and colourful instruments help lift the interior and can be described as sporty. The Qashqai interior is a nice place to be but it is intimately conservative but smart. It’s not luxury but its better than expected at this price range. The Qashqai has better space optimisation but the Juke is not too bad either considering it was the shape that defined its design brief not to be as spacious as possible. Consider the Juke a coupe 4WD as per BMW.

Nissan Qashqai vs Nissan Juke engine and technology: The Juke is easily the better SUV in this department. The relative light weight and AWD technology biased to road handling should make this the model to buy for city folk and if optioned with the 140Kw Turbo makes it the fastest or best performing small SUV which includes handling small SUV in the price category. The good engine is quite affordable. The Qashqai in top range spec has not shortage of equipment and exceeds the Juke but that is expected since the Juke is a much older design. The CVT and less powerful engine in the Qashqai are annoying short falls but are Ok.

Nissan Qashqai vs Nisan Juke : N/A

The conclusion is simple, the Qashqai is more practical, a good looking small SUV and one of the best in the class. The Juke is for the individual or couple and those who demands performance in a small car without the huge price tag (140Kw version). Buy the Juke for the performance you’ll easily get over the lack of space, since it is the performance bargain of the small SUV class. Ignoring price and performance go for the Qashqai if you need the extra space and prefer the good normal looks.

//
google_ad_client = "ca-pub-2027171236681273";
