It’s been awhile since we compared the D-max with anything so with the release of the new Triton is the perfect opportunity. Isuzu as a brand and manufacturer of mainly and genuine commercial truck and has been around for years. Isuzu’s corporate history is full of events and can be summarized as being owned by GM and Toyota. We did check out the D-Max at the last motorshow and came away with mixed impressions. So how does it stack up against the newest Triton?

Mitsubishi Triton Vs Isuzu D-Max exterior: The D-Max is clearly an older model and shows but its still looks quite nice. Since the basic design is shared across many brands, this is the basic shape that everything else is based on, including the Holden Colorado. The Triton uses the latest design language and looks better the more you review it.

Mitsubishi Triton Vs Isuzu D-Max interior: The D-Max interior is strictly commercial and basic to look at and touch. It may be hard wearing and resistant to small scratches than the softer interiors. Unfortunately the design it’s self is not nice good to look at either. The Triton interior is a much nicer place to be and straddles commercial and family orientated aspirations. Easy win for the Triton.

Mitsubishi Triton Vs Isuzu D-Max technology:The Triton has a lot of the latest tech available in regular cars and the latest turbo diesel engine which produces lots of power. Considering the D-Max is missing a lot of tech options including a more up to date turbo diesel engine, which is a pity but then an update is probably too far off. The D-Max is clearly targeted at the soon to be replaced Toyota Hilux which is does match in specs but not the latest Triton.

Mitsubishi Triton Vs Isuzu D-Max drive: N/A

It’s an easy with for the Triton for the presentation and specification comparison. When price is taken into account it is also a convicing win for the Triton. That said the Isuzu D-Max is not that far behind, needing an updated pricing, engine, safety, interior, entertainment system.

//
google_ad_client = "ca-pub-2027171236681273";
