Both new models for 2016 but according to Ford think the Pajero Sport and Everest are in the same class. It is kind of deluded thinking but the impressions we are getting for Ford PR and advertising is insulting any would be purchaser. The fact is that both are ute based wagons and SUVs have 4WD ability but only one model has the reliability and genuine off road track record.

Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Vs Ford Everest exterior: The Everest exterior is not bad to look at and clearly a little boring. Whenever we see one we see more old school Korean manufacturer touches rather than the expected Nth American design clues. The Pajero has standout exterior design, the girls love which was surprising as the design is very modern. Everything works except of rate rear end which reminds us of the 90’s Volvo wagon vertical light strips. The rear end is not the strongest design in terms of what we would call good looking but we do think it is awkward – judge for yourself. At least you won’t mistake the Pajero Sport for any other SUV which is the point. Each to their own really but we think the Pajero Sport wins the exterior looks part of the comparison.

Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Vs Ford Everest interior: If you need space the Everest has a little more of it but clearly at a price. The Pejero Sport is physically a little smaller then the Everest but that’s about it really. The interior design of both are traditional T shaped dash with nice design touches about. Quality is more than skin deep and looking at fit and finish in the Everest is not as impressive as you’d expect some noticeable plastic just didn’t line up in the examples we looked at but at least the doors have a nice closing sound. Overall we like the Everst interior with is lovely dash and screens but it does feel spartan. The Pajero Sport feels and looks better than the donor Triton Ute which is the main thing and in the top range form compares equally with the Everest but in different ways. And yes the Pajero Sport does seem to feel more sporty than the Everest – we are ignoring the marketing too!

Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Vs Ford Everest engines and technology: We thought the Everst was one of the leaders in technology overall but it clearly loses to the Pajero Sport especially when cost is taken in to account. The Mitsubishi has the class leading 4WD system, interior quality, safety systems, etc.. that the Ford can barely match the Pajero yet asks an addition $20,000. Easy win to the Mitsubishi.

Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Vs Ford Everest road test: Coming soon.

There is a clear winner in this 2016 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport vs Ford Everest comparison and that is the Pajero Sport. The only real differences are size or missing a 3rd row of seats in the Everest. We can explain further but you only need to compare the prices and specification to see how good the new Pajero Sport is. The Ford Everest is overpriced, over marketed and under done in this comparison. You really need to consider the Mitsubishi when shopping for this sort of car.

//
google_ad_client = "ca-pub-2027171236681273";
