Welcome to the Ranger Rover Evoque vs Kia Sportage comparison. New for 2016 both Kia Sportage is the more stylish small SUV than its direct donor car the Hyundai Tucson. The Range Rover Evoque is arguably the most stylish and best driving SUV on sale at the moment and its a small SUV for those who want a luxury and also arguably prestige badge in the car park. So the comparison is focused on style and presentation more than anything else. This is probably a pointless comparison since there is unlikely to be any sort of cross shopping.<\/p>\n

Range Rover Evoque vs Kia Sportage exterior comparison: The Kia Sportage has nice curves on the outside and we like the look, being a step sideways from traditional edges like what the Tucson has which looks great too but its a conservative approach. Note that only the top spec Sportage look the best. Kia have also improved the paint quality but it still looks cheap compared to the Evoque. The Evoque had unique styling when released all those years ago but we never truly liked the look, specifically in 4 door from. Range Rover models do not change their designs very quickly but the 5+ year old Evoque shape still stands the test of time by looking modern. Next to the Sportage a direct comparison reveals that the Evoque is the better looking, stylish, sturdy and more expensive.<\/p>\n

Range Rover Evoque vs Kia Sportage interior comparison: \u00a0Even the base level Evoque has a better interior than the Kia Sportage which is not a surprise \u00a0The Evoque should be a better place to be is expected since there is a huge price difference. \u00a0There are also lots of interior trim and colour choices as expected on a luxury SUV. That said the Sportage interior is a good place in comparison to those in the price category for example the CX-5, Qashqai, X-Trail and the like but it is expensive and the base models look cheap. It is relatively stylish compared to those not the Range Rover.<\/p>\n

Range Rover Evoque vs Kia Sportage engines and technology: The Evoque has a lot of safety tech and so does the Sportage but the Evoque has more like HUD and stop start etc… but it all comes as a cost. The engines on the Evoque are modern and certainly better than the competition especially the base 2.0 litre diesel engine has a claimed combine fuel consumption of 4.3 litres which is outstanding.<\/p>\n

Range Rover Evoque vs Kia Sportage drive : We have driven the Evoque and can describe it as a nice drive and it is a stand out in comparison to cheaper SUVs like the Sportage and equal if not better than the BMW X3 or X1 also driven.<\/p>\n

The Evoque is really expensive for an SUV but it is a nicer package in style and substance than the Sportage but over $20,000-60,000 price difference – probably not. Although the mere $7000- 10000 difference between the base Evoque and top range Sportage is tempting. It’s all about whether you like the look of the Evoque and believe it’s luxury and prestige branding.<\/p>\n
