We like the Ford Territory a lot and we rank the Kia Sorento highly which is for course surprising since it’s twin the Hyundai Santa Fe is definitely not. Since the Ford Territory is to be discontinued we decidedto do one last round of comparison with any comparison of a similar size and market ambition and this one probably begin the last.

Ford Territory Mk II Vs Kia Sorento exterior: We think the Ford Territory is the right size SUV for the market and the Kia Sorento close too. The Ford Territory looks are a little dated but modern enough which is better than the Kia Sorento which looks like the Toyota Kluger except smaller and with a Volvo-ish front end. We think the designers of Toyota and Kia went to the same design school!

Ford Territory Mk II Vs Kia Sorento interior: The Kia Sorento has a great interior, looks good better than the Hyundai donor car and better design but again echoes of the Toyota Kluger. The Ford Territory has a good interior for its age and is honestly not to shabby. Both are spacious places to be in with enough room for people and things.

Ford Territory Mk II Vs Kia Sorento engines and technology: On the technical front the Kia has access to most of the latest safety systems and a V6 petrol which is a decent unit but down on torque which means a more throttle and petrol use. The diesel engine in the Sorento is shared with the Hyundai which is a very modern version but unrefined by the same modern standards. The Sorento wins on this part on technicalities.

It is an easy win to the Kia Sorrento without driving it but it will never be a nice drive compared to the Ford Territory but at least it looks good inside and out with decent specs. In terms of pricing the Kia Sorento once again looks and feels like its worth the money so the choice depends on what you value most!

// google_ad_client = "ca-pub-2027171236681273";
