Continuing on with our series of the comparisons featuring the Suzuki Vitara and its competitors this time we revisited the Holden Trax which clearly in the same class. The Holden Trax has plenty going or it too but hampered by a few key factors that prevent it from being a best seller.<\/p>\n<p>Holden Trax Vs Suzuki Vitara exterior comparison: The Holden Trax looks nice, there is nothing outrageous about the design, unfortunately that&#8217;s the problem. It looks like an outdated model and more to the point, low end regardless of model grade. The Trax&#8217;s longer bumpers and curves make it appear larger compared to the Vitara which has it&#8217;s and bad points. The Suzuki Vitara is a new model but has design language of the other Suzuki&#8217;s in the 4WD range which is logical and it does stand out from the crowd due to the squared off and retro deign clues. The colour schemes outside and inside lift it&#8217;s on road presence although most will probably chose the more conservative colours. In the end we like both for equal and different reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Holden Trax Vs Suzuki Vitara interior comparison: Both are small SUVs and the Trax does not seem spacious as it&#8217;s external size suggests and the Vitara is just as small but that is what they are supposed to be. In terms of comfort both are pretty decent but the Vitara probably feels the better car to be in. We think the darker plastics and grain and lighting make it better. The Trax is not that bad but it&#8217;s not better either, the cheaper materials in some places and lost of different pieces to the design but nice buttons lift it somewhat but it does feel like a basic SUV.<\/p>\n<p>Holden Trax Vs Suzuki Vitara engine and technology comparison: Both Trax and Vitara have a number of engines to choose from, the small turbos from either are the best ones to get. The in-car entertainment is the standout of either models with integrated bluetooth for phones and access to streaming or download music note the software version when buying one. Both have the decent but standard safety systems but missing the latest features becoming standard of auto braking and blind spot warning so both are equal in regards to safety. The Trax while slightly larger is also a heavy weight carrying at least 300kg more than the Vitara which indicates it&#8217;s less than modern construction materials. The slightly larger size does not warrant such as weight jump and hampers the very average power outputs for t&#8217;s engine sizes.<\/p>\n<p>Holden Trax\u00a0Vs Suzuki Vitara drive comparison:\u00a0We like the way the Vitara drives &#8211; 1.4 turbo being the best choice see prior reviews.<\/p>\n<p>In all honestly we like the Trax package especially since the top range Trax is priced under $30,000 on the road and even less if you find an older one unsold. Very competitive in terms of price and features to newer SUVs in the class but they are better&#8230; The Suzuki Vitara especially top range versions are seriously over priced compared to the Trax.
