The other small car comparisons we’ve done where usually against ‘larger’ small cars but we did the comparison as they are in the same price range. The Mitsubishi Mirage also features a very low entry price from under $12,250, admittedly with a manual transmission but with on road at under $15,000 makes it even cheaper than the Ignis but clearly there are compromises so we decided to find out. Remember both Ignis and Mirage are the cheapest cars you can buy in Australia.

Suzuki Ignis vs Mitsubishi Mirage exterior comparison: The Ignis is a good looking well proportioned retro inspired small SUV, we think it is the best looking small car or SUV on the market at the moment. There is not much we can say about the design of the 2017 Mirage, it is not an attractive car and by association means cut price design chad cheapness. However on the good side it’s unattractive looks means it is a standout by being awkward. The latest refresh with extra chrome on the front end does not help endear it to any of us and the sen a version is just awkward. That said the alloy wheel choices to top range models are pretty good.

Suzuki Ignis vs Mitsubishi Mirage interior comparison: The Ignis interior is really good for a cheap car and SUV. There are plenty of features regardless of model grade. The Mirage interior is like a bigger version of a 2000’s small car compared to the Ignis which has a SUV like design, seating and entry. The Mirage’s design and materials are also good for the price but feels a little old fashioned without any colourful information display screens and adds to the already monotone grey interior. We prefer to be in the Ignis.

Suzuki Ignis Vs Mitsubishi Mirage engines and technology comparison: The Mirage has all the expected minus the rear camera and industry standard safety systems just like the Ignis and likewise engines. However the lower power from the Mirage’s 3 cylinder petrol is a negative compared to the noticeably more powerful Ignis. The Ignis has the better stereo system with Apple and Android or Samsung compatibility and has cruise control on every model. It also must be noted that the the base model Mirage only has 2 speakers! Since you will find it challenging to replace the sub-par stereo system does not help. The Ignis still surprises for equipment inclusions and even the top range Mirage is not as well equipped.

Suzuki Ignis Vs Mitsubishi Mirage drive comparison: N/A

The winner of Suzuki Ignis Vs Mitsubishi Mirage comparison is the Ignis by a small margin. Price cannot be ignored in this comparison as the entry level Mirage is $3000 cheaper than the base Ignis. Despite the price difference the Ignis is worth the higher price since the everything is more modern and has more features, power, ride height, better looks and so forth. The base Mirage is as basic as it gets in 2017 with the only surprise being keyless entry, though many will think you don’t need to lock your car… We would only consider the top range Mirage which is still not quite equal to the mid range Ignis in terms of features. Of your priority is getting the cheapest small car you can get than the Mirage is perfect but if you need a good value small car or SUV then the Ignis is choice you won’t regret.

// google_ad_client = "ca-pub-2027171236681273";
