Although the Jazz is larger than the Ignis their price points cross over hence this comparison. Whether people would cross shop between the Jazz or Ignis will be interesting. I think some people will due to price – the starting price of the Honda Jazz is $14,990 however you’d be hard pressed to find a dealer that will sell you one at the price. In real life the starting price for the Jazz is $16,990 drive away with a manual gearbox. Since many more will want an automatic transmission that the Ignis has for the same price.

Suzuki Ignis vs Honda Jazz exterior comparison: The Ignis is a modern interpretation of a retro design and as a result is unlikely to age. It also looks good on the road and larger than it seems. The 2017 Jazz is a step backwards in terms of looks. The current model Jazz we are reviewing is mostly awkward in it’s design, from the seeming flat rear end to the front end, it’s not ugly it’s just not good looking.

Suzuki Ignis vs Honda Jazz interior comparison: The Ignis has modern interior that is probably better looking and feeling than what you would expect for the price. As we’ve said before the Ignis interior looks and feels better than your typically small cars like this just a few years ago. In fact it’s probably just as good as the current Izuzu D-Max for example. While the Ignis has features adjustable rear seats to maximise it’s use of space it not as good as the Honda. The Honda Jazz interior for 2017 is pretty good for the price but it is a step backwards from the last model in terms of overall design but not quality of parts. It is the material used on the seat that make it cheaper than what is expected, why couldn’t they simply didn’t use the same seat design and materials. The dash is however is really good with a layered, touch screens and forth but nicer looking hard plastics would be been nicer. The Jazz has the most flexible interior seating in the small car class and also comes with more places to put stuff than most of it’s competitors.

Suzuki Ignis Vs Honda Jazz engines and technology comparison: In terms of engines the Jazz has the most powerful 1.5 litre engine in the small car class we are looking at and based on that should be the best performing one. The Ignis does not have the fastest engine but is just a good due to being over 200kg lighter but it is smaller too. In terms of safety both Ignis and Jazz have the class standard safety tech for 2016. The only missing feature for both is emergency auto braking at low speeds. The Ignis has the better stereo system by being Android and Apple compatible the Jazz has a basic Bluetooth or USB connectivity which is disappointing in 2017 considering it’s price.

Suzuki Ignis Vs Honda Jazz drive comparison: N/A

The winner of Suzuki Ignis Vs Honda Jazz comparison is a draw. The reason for the tie is that it is ultimately what your overriding criteria for what your small car is has to do well. The Jazz is perfect if you value space, everyday utility and a little more performance. The Ignis is perfect if you want one of the cheapest small cars and the only small SUV with an auto transmission at that price point and thanks to the higher ride height, the only genuine small SUV. We guess that the price for a fully equipped Ignis is under $20,000 and the base Jazz with a CVT Auto is around the same price will be the models people will be comparing. For us we’d be happy in either.

// google_ad_client = "ca-pub-2027171236681273";
