Mitsubishi motors needs sales and the ASX is a very old design like of the Mitsubishi range but it still sells very well. So well that the they gave it another update to keep up with the current design language for the brand.<\/p>\n<p>Mitsubishi ASX Vs Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross exterior comparison: The Eclipse Cross is a perfectly modern small SUV which looks good and compact in size. It is ultimately a conservative design, meaning the it has been toned down from the show car concept. In comparison the ASX has been given a front and rear face lift that makes it almost like a new model. However design is recognisably vintage when parked side by side. We like the redesign of the ASX as it does bring it up to date.<\/p>\n<p>Mitsubishi ASX Vs Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross interior comparison: The interior of the Eclipse Cross is a nice place to be with the latest styling including the tablet centre screen and modern instrument panel. It is completely up to date and is good enough for a Mitsubishi or against other older small SUV on sale e.g. the Nissan Qashqai but not quite up there with the latest like the CH-R. The 2020 ASX interior has been barely updated but it&#8217;s still a nice place (just older) to be when price is taken into account. The only mistake is the tacky stereo screen surround when equipped with the larger screen.<\/p>\n<p>Mitsubishi ASX Vs Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross engine and technology comparison: Once again the Eclipse cross is equipped with the industry norm of a small capacity turbo engine across the range. As per others it is tuned for mid range power so feels faster than it really is or the power figures suggests. The Eclipse Cross can also be optioned with AWD but at a cost. The ASX still has the old non-turbo engines in both options that happens to be available across other Mitsubishi cars and SUVs. It&#8217;s old with little top end and very ordinary. But they work acceptably with almost reasonable fuel economy but are reliable &#8211; which is the best attribute in the small SUV class. The 2020 ASX also has the option of a Rockford Fosgate speaker system in certain models which is superior what the Eclipse Cross comes with. The safety systems on the ASX are lesser spec than the Eclipse Cross but at least has auto emergency brakes, admittedly we think the only thing missing is the around view camera system and HUD. Gadgets like mood LED lighting on the ASX is also a nice feature on some models &#8211; mainly for those who don&#8217;t want to feel like being in a cheaper car.<\/p>\n<p>The conclusion and winner of the Mitsubishi ASX Vs Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross comparison is the ASX. The 2020 Mitsubishi ASX is a very will specified small SUV. It has all the features of newer SUVs like the Eclipse Cross but at a cheaper price. However the main and biggest flaw of the 2020 ASX is that it feels and drives like the old ASX which is best described as ordinary. But if you are updating from a older car or SUV this will be luxury. The Eclipse Cross is hampered by just being expensive. Is the Eclipse Cross worth $5000-$10000 more expensive, dependent on model grade to the equilivent ASX?
