The X-Line is the brand used by Kia for their &#8216;off road&#8217; biased trim but in reality it is mostly marketing. Believe or not the Picanto is the best selling micro car in Australia, purely because there is very little competition. Speaking of the market mainstream motoring websites and press seem to think the micro car segment is a &#8216;dying class&#8217; but clearly they are just looking at the wrong set of stats if at all. Urbanisation is increasing and together with high petrol prices and housing, the economical, cheap and fuel efficient small or micro SUV or car is about to rise again.<\/p>\n<p>Kia Picanto X-Line Vs Suzuki Ignis exterior comparison: Which design you like better is a personal choice especially comparing the Picanto against the Ignis. The Ignis looks good balance of retro and modern. In comparison the Picanto is a sold school design based on any number of micro cars or Japanese Kei cars from the 1990&#8217;s. The current generation of the Japanese Kei cars have moved on from this sort of conservative styling. That said the Picanto X-Line is a good looking micro hatch with hot hatch body and off road body kit. The higher riding suspension which is the only claim to fame in the Picanto X-Line is however insignificant and still lower than the Ignis by 30mm which in turn isn&#8217;t exactly high off the ground from a regular car. The Picanto X-Line looks more expensive than it really is which is a bonus and more so than the Ignis. We like the AO edition or Australia Open edition with the tennis green coloured highlights.<\/p>\n<p>Kia Picanto X-Line Vs Suzuki Ignis interior comparison: Both have decent interiors with the Picanto being more conventional and there is plenty of space for one and quality a feel what you would expect in a modern cheap car or SUV. The Ignis interior is larger than the Picanto X-Line and looks a feels more modern and minimalist, perfectly in line with it&#8217;s target market. Due to the leather\/vinyl like trim and shiny or silver highlights and textured hard plastics throughout the Picanto X-Line it appears to be higher quality than the Ignis but it&#8217;s pretty much equal in the &#8216;premium&#8217; hard plastics. We like the conservative design the Picanto but also the completely modern design in the Ignis as it feels more substantial.<\/p>\n<p>Kia Picanto X-Line Vs Suzuki Ignis engines and technology comparison: Both have state of art stereo systems with Android and Apple connectivity and all the advantages and disadvantages. The Ignis overcomes Apple and Android issues by having a separate GPS system so you can have the radio running or USB or Bluetooth streaming audio at the same time! \u00a0The Ignis also has better underskin technology by being a slightly bigger SUV yet weights 100kg less.\u00a0However in terms of safety the Picanto X-Line has auto emergency brakes at city speeds so wins the tech comparison. There is slightly more power but slight less torque in the Ignis and it is equipped with a CVT with 100kg less, makes it a zipper and faster small car or SUV than the Picanto X-Line. Interestingly both have cruise control as standard and the smallest and cheapest cars we know to have it.<\/p>\n<p>Kia Picanto X-Line Vs Suzuki Ignis drive comparison: N\/A<\/p>\n<p>The winner of Kia Picanto X-Line Vs Suzuki Ignis comparison is the Kia Picanto X-Line. The reason why the Picanto wins is due to the standard fitment of auto emergency brakes. The Picanto is the cheapest car you can buy new with this feature at the time of writing. That said are the Picanto X-Line an SUV or is the Ignis SUVs? NO that is stretching the description &#8211; both are small hatchbacks with very slightly raise suspension. As two of the smallest cars on the market with raised ride height even though it&#8217;s lower than your average Toyota Corolla. The Picanto X-Line also wins by being one of the few micro cars available new that doesn&#8217;t look like a cheap car on the outside and acceptable on the inside.
