This is the new Mahindra XUV3X0 Vs Suzuki Ignis comparison for 2025. Needless to say we don’t need to go over the history of Mahindra as an vehicle manufacturer? Well, they one of the largest companies in India but they primarily make tractors, trucks and farm equipment. How does the Suzuki Ignis that has been around since 2017 but still looks fresh compared to the new XUV 3X0 it nearest competitor in the very small SUV class?
Mahindra XUV3X0 Vs Suzuki Ignis exterior comparison: The Suzuki Ignis design appeal hasn’t really changed and literally nothing else either. We are assuming that it’s low sales numbers aka the ones you see on the road are so rare it still looks fresh and the retro design angles help as well. The Mahindra XUV3X0 has an initial awkward visual design but after a while you get the idea and it fades. It’s a stand out design in the class that looks so similar that you could easily get away with badge swapping but that does apply to the XUV3X0. It is it’s own thing which is good. Finally the Ignis is the smaller car but unless you see them next to each other.
Mahindra XUV3X0 Vs Suzuki Ignis interior comparison: Simply put the Ignis has a 2010’s interior that is solid is in look and feel. Hard plastic every where but it feels durable, simple but very modern layout and the design genuinely good to look at. In comparison the 3X0 is a very conservative design that could be seen in cars since the 1990’s however nicer materials even the hard plastics give a durable feel but to a lesser extent than the Ignis. To be completely honest the Ignis interior has a nicer more modern ambience but the 3X0 has more gadgets.
Mahindra XUV3X0 Vs Suzuki Ignis engine and technology comparison: First of all both are not really SUV but high rise hatchbacks – but it that the new definition of an SUV – who knows! The XUV 3Xo has a small turbo charged petrol engine that produces more power when compared with the non turbo in the Ignis. The XUV 3X0 has a list of tech includes adaptive cruise all sorts of warning and safety systems seen in more expensive and large SUVs. The is Ignis is pretty bare bones in the features department. However and it is important to note that the Ignis weights almost 600kg less than the Mahindra which should explain why the XUV3X0 has very average performance figures.
The conclusion and winner of the Mahindra XUV3X0 Vs Suzuki Ignis comparison is the XUV3X0. The mystery in the room is how Mahindra leaped in tech in in the last few years and ‘suddenly’ have a competitive vehicles for sale? The answer is of course their ownership of SsangYong Autos, yes that south Korean manufacturer and brand. They cleverly loaded the development costs and debt of new vehicles development to the already debt laden company and used that to rebrand their own vehicles (then sell the company to someone else). The Mahindra XUV3X0 is a front and rear reskin of the SsangYong Tivoli which has been around for about 10 years. Nonetheless it is one of the cheapest and most highly featured small SUV on sale at the time of this post and worth a look.
