Welcome to the 250 Series Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Vs Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Comparison for 2025. As per usual we are doing a series of  the new  Landcruiser Prado vs the rest of the world comparisons. Hopefully it is give you some useful information on your research to find a new SUV for you garage or driveway. Traditional 4WD vehicles in general have been off trend and replaced by soft roads in all the class sizes. Both the Prado and Pajero Sport are two of the few models that are classed as genuine durable off road 4WD. So how do they compare and which one is the better one to buy?

250 Series Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Vs Mitsubishi Pajero Sport exterior design: Whilst the Pajero Sport has been on sale in it’s current design for approximately 8 years it hasn’t really dated due to its forward thing original design. We like the look and regard it highly but it may not be to everyone’s taste. In comparison the new Prado is clearly a combination of past Toyota 4WD designs in particular the recently discontinued FJ Cruiser. While the overall design is nothing new it has enough evolution of design language to look new.

250 Series Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Vs Mitsubishi Pajero Sport interior : The interiors are the most telling on the age of the design. The Pajero Sport is a aged design look and ambience but its does have all the features you’d want in 2025 but it’s just doesn’t look flashy and no you wouldn’t buy the Pajero Sport for it’s interior design. The interior is smaller as it is based on the outgoing Triton use. The Prado is very 2025 looks and feels great to be in as per every other Prado interior.

250 Series Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Vs Mitsubishi Pajero Sport engines and technology : The Prado has a hybrid engine but with a diesel engine which is great but unique at this int in time. It does not result in amazing fuel consumption figures as per Toyota’s petrol versions but this is the 1st gen after all. In comparison the Pajero Sport only has a shared turbo diesel with the old Triton. It’s not bad but engine but it’s not a power house either but it is zippy thanks to being relatively light weight at under 2 tons. Neither has interesting tech worth writing about.

The conclusion and winner of the 250 Series Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Vs Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is the Pajero Sport. Although they are not direct competitors the reason why the Pajero Sport is the better choice is the price difference. If you intend to go off road the 20K between the entry level Pajero Sport and the Prado is hard to justify and the 30K difference between the top rangers even more so.
