It has been 4 years since the last comparison between the two models hence time for an update. The XV is now a new model released a few year ago but the Vitara hasn&#8217;t changed although received a couple face lifts and equipment upgrades. In light of the current world environment it is unlikely that new models will be released any time soon.<\/p>\n<p>Subaru XV Vs Suzuki Vitara exterior comparison: The Vitara has a relatively simple exterior design with number of front and rear refreshes over the last 5 years. The current generation of the XV is 2 years old but uses the same styling as the last model but in a sleeker profile and looks pretty good and arguably better.<\/p>\n<p>Subaru XV Vs Suzuki Vitara interior comparison: The Subaru interior is one of the best in terms of materials and design, looking and feel upmarket place to be in. While all model grades feel good the top range is just a little better. In comparison the Vitara has a more utilitarian interior materials and design. It&#8217;s not bad but it needs to be much better to compete with the XV.<\/p>\n<p>Subaru XV Vs Suzuki Vitara engine and technology comparison: The Subaru has the safety tech and engines with AWD as standard and are pretty good. With the option of a Hybrid engine in 2020, it is definitely a tech powerhouse in the class. Unfortunately the engine tech in particular is a let down as it doesn&#8217;t produce the fuel savings a hybrid engine implies. Likewise XV has a fully featured stereo system which is great but poor speakers is not good.\u00a0 In comparison the mid-range Vitara is the best package to get with safety and turbo engine to match and even better fuel economy. It&#8217;s high tech light weight body means it weighs 40% lighter than the XV yet similar amount of interior space.<\/p>\n<p>The conclusion to the Subaru XV Vs Suzuki Vitara comparison is a draw. The XV wins in terms of overall package and price. In 2020 the price points means that a buyer would choose a mid range Vitara or a similarly pried base model XV. Else the Vitara is the price winner due to being $4000-6000 cheaper but with less features. That said, we wouldn&#8217;t buy an XV due to the under-par sounding stereo system which you can&#8217;t easily change as we couldn&#8217;t live with that in the long term &#8211; neither will you. Furthermore most dealerships are Subaru owned so it&#8217;s expensive and for the price there are better options eg.
