This is Honda HR-V Vs Nissan Juke comparison for 2022. The Nissan Juke was fully released last year and is a very important model for the company. It’s predecessor was one of the most uniquely designed small SUVs and very popular in some markets despite the main stream press not liking it. We think it’s because they race to become the most influential in promoting mediocrity or the most ordinary SUV on sale. The Honda HRV is also an important model especially the company as a whole. In fact so important that they made at least 2 different versions.<\/p>\n

Honda HR-V Vs Nissan Juke exterior comparison: The new HRV is a nice looking but ultra conservative looking SUV. It’s a car you can take home to anyone go shopping and no-one would notice are consider that it’s a new model. If you like anonymity then a HRV is the model to get. In comparison the new Juke is sporty modern looking SUV although no where are classic or ‘outrageous’ as the original Juke model. In fact we it looks like what the new HRV would have looked like if they followed the same styling language. Look at it at any angle but side on, the Juke is a bit of a looker dependent on model grade of course.<\/p>\n

Honda HR-V Vs Nissan Juke interior comparison: The new HRV interior is very Japanese in design language, in the sense of looking minimalist or ZEN rather than say the ‘Ginza’ or Tokyo night skyline alternative. It has a underlying modern retro theme throughout that we also appreciate. It is quite large for passengers but smallish in terms of boot space but more flexible seating helps to maximise luggage space if needed. While more flexible than the normal its not as good as simply having more efficient design space. The Juke is arguably the opposite. It’s bubble like exterior is large but space inside feels small dark but sporty. It’s the Japanese version of the Tokyo or Ginza night theme in some models and we prefer the sportier interior although tighter interior.<\/p>\n

Honda HR-V Vs Nissan Juke engine and technology comparison: Both have modern engines and safety systems dependent on model grade. As a result the main point of comparison is the engine options. The talk of the HRV range is the Hybrid option with has great fuel consumption and decent performance. The Juke has an underpowered turbo charged 3 cylinder engine which is pity. Mind you it is the equilivent of a 1.8 litre engine 10 years ago and especially considering how Toyota has managed to endow the Yaris with time the power shows how far behind Nissan tech is at the moment. Maybe a NISMO version will be released?<\/p>\n

The conclusion and winner of the Honda HR-V Vs Nissan Juke comparison is the neither. Both SUVs pricing start at over $31000 which is s $5000 more than what you’d expect a mere 2 years ago which is not surprising in light for the state of the world in 2022. Even more disappointing is the $8000 price difference between the base model Juke to the entry level HRV\/ We think this is an unrealistic price jump and will merely drive sales to correctly priced SUVs. The pricing also raises it to the next level of SUV in terms of size and performance. That said ignoring the price we’d pick the Juke for better styling.<\/p>\n
