The Kona was a step in the right direction for Hyundai in making an SUV style electric vehicle based on a design that also had a petrol engine as it&#8217;s base. Although it drove well for a high riser we never seriously considered it due to high price and less than acceptable interior for the price. On the other hand the Nissan Leaf was always well priced for an all electric car and featured for an electric even by 2024 standards although its presentation also let it down. So how to they compare?<\/p>\n<p>Hyundai Kona Vs Nissan Leaf exterior comparison: The basic Nissan Leaf design is quite ordinary for 2024 but i was\u00a0 released 7 years ago. The recent spec update certainly gives it an edgier look. The Kona is an &#8216;all new&#8217; model but it doesn&#8217;t look it as it is very similar to the last model. The on trend horizontal front an rear lighting is nice but since everyone does it now it the brand does become lost. The horizontal rear light stripe doesn&#8217;t seem to quite align on many examples on the road so make sure you check if you buy one. In the end the me too styling on the Kona is lost in the sea of clone and the Leaf stand out by being a little different.<\/p>\n<p>Hyundai Kona Vs Nissan Leaf interior comparison: The Kona has finally received the interior upgrade it needed. The original interior was very entry level place to be in. The new interior is much better place, with the digital dash panel consistent through out the Hyundai range and used by any number of bands. So take the badge off the wheel and you could be driving any brand. The interior of the Nissan looks like it came from any other budget friendly petrol power car in the last 20 years which is the problem. The twin displays in the Kona is a tech selling point but the all too common exterior design is the non tech factor that doesn&#8217;t quite overcome the two bigger screens.
