No its not the Suzuki Celerio, as that would be pointless. The final small car Vs small SUV comparison is with the 2017 Kia Picanto. Both are in the same price range and size although the Suzuki is slightly bigger.<\/p>\n<p>Suzuki Ignis vs Kia Picanto exterior comparison: As we&#8217;ve said before the Ignis is a good looking small car or SUV, the lines a blurred here. On the road it looks like a small but solid looking high rise hatchback with a retro inspired design especially the rear end, standing out if you&#8217;ve picked a conservative colour. We like the design overall and it shouldn&#8217;t date. The Kia Picanto is a small car and looks small which may be an issue. However its does look good with well proportioned lines and modern details, like the heavy crease down the side. In sportier trim not available in Australia it&#8217;s a very smart looking small hatch.<\/p>\n<p>Suzuki Ignis vs Kia Picanto interior comparison: The Ignis interior is a nice place to be as it is airy and definitely not a bargain place to be in, especially if you doing from another small car from the 2000&#8217;s. The large touch screen and flashy dash lights really help lift the ambience from what is a really good value small car. The Picanto is a typical T box interior design with a seemingly aftermarket tablet like touchscreen and similarly having hard plastics everywhere but it too has nicely been nicely textured and coloured, along with a Apple and Android Auto compatibility screen lifts it from the stereotypically bare bones equipment levels of past decades. It&#8217;s a nice place to be in for one of the cheapest new cars on the Australian market. \u00a0Both are great examples of looking better than the price suggests but clearly not as nice as more expensive cars. That said both feel much better to be in than the D-Max or Holden Colorado.<\/p>\n<p>Suzuki Ignis Vs Kia Picanto engines and technology comparison: Both have industry standard safety systems nothing out of the class average. Both have 1.2 litre engines without turbos and produce the about the same power. Unfortunately the Picanto weighs over 150Kg more than the Ignis which \u00a0equates to 2 young people, hence performance will suffer. \u00a0The best part of both care is that despite the cheap price they have Apple and Android compatible systems which is a key selling point for the younger crowd these cars are aimed at. The CVT auto in the Ignis may annoy whereas the Picanto&#8217;s 4 speed auto is probably a better drive.<\/p>\n<p>Suzuki Ignis Vs Kia Picanto drive comparison: N\/A<\/p>\n<p>The winner of Suzuki Ignis Vs Kia Picanto comparison is the Ignis by a small margin. The Picanto is a very good small car package but it is just a small car although \u00a0arguably the best one in the class thanks to it&#8217;s equipment levels. The Ignis is the winner because it has a higher ride height to match the increasingly larger cars in 2017 and feels modern and very Japanese but also looks better. Some may point out the 7 year warranty the Kia Picanto as a key selling point but to many the basic understanding is that if they need to offer that length of time means that there is either something very wrong with the car or it some marketing company has told them that they have a low market perception of the brand. After all &#8211; we all know of someone who has experienced the lack of warranty support even well within the warranty period not just from Kia using the well known wear and tear reason. So in the end, this length of warranty time is not a particularly good marketing.
