We like the 2020 Mitsubishi ASX package in terms of pricing despite it not being technically compelling in performance stats like speed or cornering prowess. The updated ASX appears to be what many people simple aspire to as a daily driver that’s not expensive. The Qashqai is targeted at the same people but has only received a small update a couple years ago.

Mitsubishi ASX Vs Nissan Qashqai exterior comparison: While the ASX has been updated, hence this set of comparisons it was desperately needed. The Qashqai was released back in 2013 and was a good looking SUV to start with and it’s lines have not really aged. Regardless of a small refresh it was was minor and didn’t really need it. There are other areas which the upgrade money could have been spent. In comparison to the 2020 ASX the Qashqai still looks good in a modern way and arguably sportier to look at.

Mitsubishi ASX Vs Nissan Qashqai interior comparison: The interior’s of both cars have not been updated since their original release. The ASX may look like a new car on the outside but the inside it is looking a little old but it’s still good enough. The Qashqai interior has always been with higher quality materials. The bigger stereo screen in the ASX may actually be the best selling point by just being bigger compared to the Qashqai.

Mitsubishi ASX Vs Nissan Qashqai engine and technology comparison: The common theme in both SUVs are old tech engines and CVTs. Although these types of engines and transmissions where modern when released, in 2020 terms they are bow old tech. They do the task required of them but without the impressive low fuel consumption of the latest turbos, hybrids and electric engines. Safety systems are very good in both models with top range models having the best options. The ASX wins though by have a decent Rockford Fosgate speaker system larger screen and more safety systems and gadgets.

The conclusion and winner of the Mitsubishi ASX Vs Nissan Qashqai comparison is the ASX. The ASX now looks up to date and has the equipment and price advantage over the Nissan Qashqai. The Qashqai, despite it’s age is still a good looking contemporary small SUV and it has the nicer interior. However it’s not as well equipped for the price, the base model Qashqai is approx $4000 more than the ASX! There is also the numerous reliability issues that the Qashqai seems have that the ASX doesn’t.

// google_ad_client = "ca-pub-2027171236681273";
