Welcome to the all new Hyundai Kona Vs Peugeot 3008 comparison for 2018. We haven’t compared any Peugeots for a while due to the lack of any new models. However with the release of the highly regarded and European car of the year the Peugeot 3008 it’s time for some more comparisons. These will be mostly specification and pricing comparison until we get a 3008 test drive. Peugeot, Renault and Citroen are the most well known European automotive brands but not traditionally known as ‘prestige’ or ‘luxury’ brands. To us the modern Peugeot most makes normal sort of cars that where known for their stylish designs and innovative technology at reasonable prices.
Hyundai Kona Vs Peugeot 3008 exterior comparison: The Kona exterior sheet metal is a contemporary good looking design however there is nothing new to add to the car design school since it is a matchup of other SUVs eg. Subaru XV and Jeep Cherokee etc… The Peugeot 3008 is good looking SUV but in a completely different way. Sure there are elements borrowed from other manufacturers, Pathfinder with curves come to mind but the design silhouette is definitely something different compared to the now conservative looking Kona. The 3008 design can be described as typically French inspriation.
Hyundai Kona Vs Peugeot 3008 interior comparison: The Kona has a nice interior but it belongs in a cheaper car and in comparison to all the other SUVs the Kona is merely adequate for the price. In comparison to the Peugeot 3008 it is a complete contrast. The 3008 interior is an lovely place to be in for many reasons. The quality of materials is from a class up, the design is unique, futuristic and very different to any other car or SUV on sale at the moment. The 3008 has one of the best interiors in the price range and each model even has it’s distinctive seat trim! That said price for the base model 3008 is equal to the top range Kona and that’s before on roads costs.
Hyundai Kona Vs Peugeot 3008 engines and and technology comparison: Both Kona and 3008 have the latest safety tech but optional in the base models so is a balanced comparison in this regard. The 3008 has additional feature like adaptive cruise control. The stereo system and entertainment package in the 3008 is impressive to look at and sound for non-branded system although the Kona has similar features it simply can’t compete with the 8 inch or 12 inch display and the digital fully functional instrument panel the list goes on dependent on model grade on the 3008. The Kona looks and feel outdated in comparison to the 3008.
Hyundai Kona Vs Peugeot 3008 drive comparison: N/A
The winner of the Hyundai Kona Vs Peugeot 3008 comparison is the 3008. Sure the Kona is a size smaller but are new models but the price in early 2018 means that at least one model overlaps. We expect the price of both SUVs to drop with 12 months but it is really clear that the 3008 is worth the extra money. There is only one problem with the Peugeot 3008 and is the historic reliability issues with the brand and also it’s precieved running and cost of parts. Regardless the 3008 is really impressive – check it out, buy it, give it a go as it makes the Kona in particular look down market.
