This is the Kia Sorento Vs Hyundai Palisade comparison for 2021.Simply put the Kia Sorento is a stretched version of the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Palisade is Hyundai’s version of the Sorento but stretched further. The Palisade is the the largest SUV and model in the range and the most expensive at the time of this post. We wanted to see if bigger is better, basically.

I can believe 6 people would be the maximum for practical reasons, so seating any more people is a bit of fluff. The Palisade looks big and bulky and without the lights and side window design it would be bread box in style. It’s does look very North American in styling due to the side profile reminiscent of any number for GM sigh rise wagons. In comparison the Sorento is the ‘sportier’ model although it tends to the Grand Cherokee styling school to look at and the entry level Sorento is a bit of a poverty pack to look at.

The Palisade design is more conventional to look at but the materials and the design is more conservative but very good for the price however there are noticeable cheaper parts – good is the best description of the interior. However it’s not at the level of the more pedigreed brands in the price bracket by 2021 standard but more 2000s version. The Sorento although smaller still has plenty of space, looks and feels more modern yet character to differentiate it from it’s competitors but only for the more expensive model grades. Most will pick the cheaper Kia Sorento as the Palisade is even more expensive. We can’t see many buying the Palisade as most will prefer the more premium brands for the price and/or models with more off road and towing capability. The Kia Sorento looks great but to only top range models and will appeal to those who want the latest presentation and gadgets although the price is a little high for a refreshed and stretch with carry over engines drivetrain rather than a new model. Unfortunately potential Sorento or Palisade buyers no longer in the price bracket and it’s face saving diesel engines are no longer that desirable.
