Nonetheless the Sorento is a derivative of various European/Japanese/North American styling and we’ve seen it before. This combination still looks though if you can afford it. We prefer the more unique looks of the Pajero Sport – unfortunately many do not.

We like the styling that gives it an upmarket ambience which you would expect since you are paying more. However only in the more expensive model grades. The Pajero Sport interior is clearly a older design based on the Triton Ute so is decent but aged, the materials harder and missing the ambience gadgets used in the much more modern Sorento. We definitely prefer the Sorento interior.

The Pajero Sport is reasonably priced with genuine off road features and we know most will put up with the less than contemporary interior design. The Sorento is a nice looking urban SUV with some gravel road capability If you are looking for a nice looking spacious high rise wagon this should be on the list to buy – however it’s price is quite unreasonable for what it really is. Nonetheless it is a very good example of contemporary SUV 2021. We prefer more substance and off road capability the the Pajero represents.
