VS | Nissan Dualis |
Welcome to the new 2013 Toyota RAV4 vs Nissan Dualis comparison. While the RAV4 is an all new model for 2013 the Dualis has been around for a number of years. In fact the Dualis in terms of age is probably beaten only by the Grand Vitara in the ‘small SUV’ class at the time of this comparison!
Toyota RAV4 vs Nissan Dualis exterior: The RAV4 looks well proportioned and modern with only the rear end a bit awkward. We could live with the design and it should age well. The Dualis looks good a nice balance of a ‘tough exterior’ and again only the rear end is awkward. We like both but pushed to say which was better it would be the Dualis by a small margin. In terms of size the RAV4 is larger with the Dualis measurably smaller but only when size by size would you actually notice. Although the RAV4 interior size is larger its not a massive difference to the Dualis.
Toyota RAV4 vs Nissan Dualis interior: The interior of the RAV$ is one of the best in the class while the Dualis is merely acceptable now. Easy win to the RAV4 if this was the deciding factor. Mind you and off topic for practicality the X-Trail is still the best followed by the CRV.
Toyota RAV4 vs Nissan Dualis engine and technology: With a single 2.0 petrol engine available here the Dualis is not a fast car by any imagination. The Nissan engine does not have anything state of the art in terms of features or performance. It’s seems to be specified for reliability since we do not know of any consistent reliability problems. There are other engine choices overseas though. The RAV4’s engine is relatively modern too but again does not have any interesting features. Both have the option of a CVT auto but the RAV4 lso has the 6 speed auto on some models. While both engines are good there is no winner here.
Toyota RAV4 vs Nissan Dualis on road: N/A
In the end we like the Dualis based on a exterior design and value for money basis. The 2WD models are a bargain for in terms of equipment when compared to the RAV4. The RAV4 does have features that the Dualis does not have at any price and while nice not essential. So does newest of the RAV4 win over the same yet different Nissan Dualis??? hmmm… We guess the winner comes down to price and on a money basis it is the Dualis to buy while the RAV4 if you can afford the premium.
