Clearly a Toyota LandCruiser Prado is not a performance car by any means. However no-one wants the slowest car on the road and thankfully the 150 series LandCruiser Prado is definitely not slow. In reality the 150 series LandCruiser its pretty quick for a non-sports 4WD in both diesel and petrol variants. What the figures don’t tell you is the in-gear performance which is quite good. That said the new models are slower than the older ones mainly due to extra weight. Hence we wrote this page that will contain all the performance statistics for the 150 Series LandCruiser Prado (LC5). The model code is KDJ150R.
As per the performance figures for the last model, performance can mean handling, fuel economy, power and of course 0-100kph, top speed, stopping distance and things like that. So we researched the performance mad Arabian sites and official PR releases and brochures for some performance figures.
The figures are based on figures claimed by the manufacturer and on averages. They probably used the lightest models for the test – at a guess and probably is a controlled environment. Note while the engine numbers are shared with the 120 series and Hilux they are in different states of tune hence updated for more performance.
