The more you pay the better the equipment level is.That said the X-Trail no longer has engine options in what we anticipate as the final spec of this X-Trail and your a stuck with the older generation of the new Outback engine.

The Outlander wins by looking, feeling and having more model tech compared to the much older X-Trail. However the lack of engine options on the Outlander at the time of release and considering the price tag makes it quite expensive and slow.
