This is the new Nissan Qashqai Vs Honda HR-V comparison for 2023. Released just 12 months ago the HR-V is a model that covers a entire small SUV class for Honda. It’s pricing also ensures that it will be compared against larger medium sized SUVs costing the same price. Nissan has positioned the Qashqai in a similar fashion and it also completes against it’s own range, the smaller Juke and ‘larger’ X-Trail. So how do they compare?

Nissan Qashqai Vs Honda HR-V exterior comparison: The Qashqai is a nice looking and new smallish SUV. If you like all the current styling trends in one package then this Nissan is the one to buy. In comparison the HR-V looks like the last generation Mitsubishi Lancer hatchback but with taller suspension. It looks like an older design which is disappointing. That said if it had a nicer front end like on the North American HR-Vs would have helped.

Nissan Qashqai Vs Honda HR-V interior comparison: The interior of the Qashqai is contemporary and generic. The design and it’s variations can be seen an any number of other SUVs released in the last 5 years. Overall it looks and feels good but generic. In comparison the HR-V mostly has similarities with other Honda models in particular the Civic rather than any other brand. We prefer the HR-V interior as it is a cleaner more unique design.

Nissan Qashqai Vs Honda HR-V engine and technology comparison: The only HR-V model worth your attention is the hybrid version due to the fuel efficiency and performance. Sure neither are particularly efficient compared to Toyota Hybrid standards but at least the Honda has one but Nissan does not.  Unfortunately the Hybrid version is only available at the top end of the model grades. The Qashqai currently does not have the Hybrid system or any other tech features to make it stand out. One of the few tech flaws with the HR-V is the under par sounding stereo system.

The conclusion and winner of the Nissan Qashqai Vs Honda HR-V comparison is the HR-V. Ignoring the high prices for both models the HR-V has the hybrid engine and the more individual looks inside and out, the better performance. The Qashqai does have lots to comment as well but not against the HR-V, which we usually don’t particularly rate due to it’s expensive price tag and aged looks.
