It is a generic design so shouldn’t offend anyone. There is plenty of space in the Qashqai although nothing fancy about the design. In comparison the Tucson design team decided to do something different which is admirable. They clearly started with a design like the Qashqai than going this is boring so changed it to the awkward one we see today. However we’ve seen this before in the Toyota Previa aka Tarago vans of the 1990s which it worked then but not in 2023 especially with the quality of materials which are not as good as the Qashqai.

The Tucson can be optioned the more expensive engine with a out of trend diesel engine and with diesel prices remaining stubbornly high with little fuel saving over modern turbo petrol engines it doesn’t make any sense apart from appealing. Mind you, many counter that saying they have more performance but the need for Adblue, additional maintenance doesn’t help.
