Welcome to the new Suzuki Vitara Vs Nissan Qashqai comparison for 2016. We love the Nissan Qashqai and is one of our favorite small SUVs likewise the Vitara too! This will be one of the last comparison featuring the Suzuki as we have a number of brand new models to compare for 2017.

Nissan Qashqai Vs Suzuki Vitara exterior: The Qashqai has been around for about 3 years and the design still looks good. Sure it is a little conservative but the lines are sporty and clearly stands the test of time. The Vitara in base form is even more conservative than the Nissan but mid-range and above have modern styling and colors which the Qashqai could not get away with. We prefer the Qashqai’s styling overall.

Nissan Qashqai  Vs Suzuki Vitara interior: The Qashqai interior is a nice place to be in the seats a comfy and the design is modern yet conservative and good quality no complaints for its age or price. There are obvious cheaper parts like the grey door hands in the base model and lower in the doors and cabin but it’s hidden well enough. In comparison the Vitara interior looks and feels cheaper but it’s not that bad either however we don’t think that will stand the test of time. The interior storage in the Qashqai is also better which is very handy as a daily driver and it shows a more thought the Vitara. In the end the Qashqai is the preferred SUV to be in as it simply feel more comfortable to be it.

Nissan Qashqai Vs Suzuki Vitara engine and technology: The Qashqai has more ‘safety’ tech with auto parking and all round cameras, lane departure, blind spot and so forth, certainly many more than available on any Vitara in 2016.  However the Vitara has native connectivity to Android and iPhones which is a strong selling point as the ‘safety’  features just . We would also like to point to ‘claimed’ professional motoring websites to get over complaints of the lack of standard built in GPS. The future is GPS via your phone – surely no explanation is needed. In terms of engines and transmission it is a win for the Vitara, the normal transmission and the optional turbo is preferable to the reasonable but average petrol and diesel engine options in the Qashqai and the CVT transmission.

Nissan Qashqai Vs Suzuki Vitara drive experience : The two cars drive well on normal roads both are pretty much equal however the CVT is annoying when pressing on whist the Vitara petrol turbo gives it nice punch. Both ride and handle well in the city and suburban roads but the Vitara has a quality many drivers would enjoy. Both interiors are not silent but not noisy places to be in either and we prefer the seating position in the Qashqai. Drives where to short to come to a decent conclusion.

The winner to the Nissan Qashqai Vs Suzuki Vitara comparison is the Qashqai! Even though both the top range versions come with diesel engines the rest of the range for both models are competitive in pricing however the Qashqai has the equipment edge, better look, practicality and feel. The Nissan’s only short fall is the CVT which means it’s not a driver’s car.
