Welcome to the Peugeot 3008 Vs Subaru XV comparison for 2018. Both new SUVs released last year, in the same price range, specification and size to be worth a comparison. It’s tough to beat the 3008 in 2018 as it has the features and quality to match any would be competitor and it’s only flaw is it’s price tag which in 2018 is on the expensive side. The new XV is a definitely a good smallish SUV with lots of features to commend it and a great price point. It’s new throughout despite looking familiar…
Peugeot 3008 Vs Subaru XV exterior comparison: We’ve said many times the 3008 is a good looking car and SUV. Sure it’s newness does fade due to the relatively conservative side profile but the rest of the 3008 is instantly different from the rest. The XV is clearly a refinement of the prior model which we still think is one of the better looking SUVs. The new XV is sleeker but still still a looking car and to be honest more like a high rise wagon than a typical SUV in 2018. However next to the 3008 the XV simply doesn’t look as expensive although the high paint on the Subaru does set it apart from new similarly designed SUV like the Kona.
Peugeot 3008 Vs Subaru XV interior comparison: The 3008 is a great pice of design and nice to be in no question it upper spec models it looks like prestige brand purely due to the full digital and smartphone style dashboard. The use of cloth trim does set it apart is both welcoming and surprisingly upmarket in look. The Subaru XV has a good interior as well a step up from the last model and while the quality is there it feels very Japanese which may be help people trading up from cars that are over 10 year old. Overall it matches the price you’re paying for the XV and it’s competitors in the same price range and better and many just as new models e.g the Kona.
Peugeot 3008 Vs Subaru XV engine and technology comparison: Both have a ton of safety equipment and many standard however the base XV is missing Auto emergency brakes which means it can’t win a comparison. Every other model in the XV range has the full suite of safety systems and for not much more money so the base stripper is a bit of a dud like many other models. The main difference between the two is in the engine and transmission technology and the XV is lacking in power although technically optimised by a CVT you need to drive it. The 3008 has decent turbo petrol with plenty of mid range with a regular gearbox which will appeal to most.
Peugeot 3008 Vs Subaru XV drive report : N/A
The conclusion and winner of the Peogeot 3008 Vs Subaru XV comparison is neither. Firstly the 3008 is relatively expensive staring nearly 37,000 but at least it looks and feels it. The 3008 has none of the flaws and Euro chic. The XV in typical Subaru fashion starts at nearly 33,000 but it is basic since the 35,000 comes with all the stuff you really need and both look identical on the outside including the top range model just under $40,000 and all things considered looks and feels entirely worth the price. The XV key flaws is the low spec engine but countered by the standard AWD system but with a CVT automatic.
