It is a good look that is both contemporary and retro at the same. In comparison the MU-X doesn’t have any sort of ‘new’ design touches and it does look anonymous in the car park.

It’s comfortable, looks and feel good with a nice mix of plastics and design. In comparison the Prado is easily a grade higher at all levels in terms of looks, feel space and so forth.
250 Series Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Vs Isuzu MU-X engines and technology : The MU-X does not have any standout tech or engines but it does has 2 options which is unusual in this class. The engines are pretty much class average though so nothing to do a write up about. In comparison the Prado has the much noted Hybrid Diesel engine setup which is state of the art although I assumed that it would deliver better fuel economy than the official figures. That said design does play a big part in the efficiency equation and the Prado is still has the aerodynamics of a brick.
The conclusion and winner of the 250 Series Toyota Land Cruiser Prado Vs Isuzu MU-X is the entry level MU-X. The MU-X is a winner due to price for features. We are sure most could live with the known durability of the Isuzu brand at 20K less than the Prado. The Prado does lead the field in terms of the tech package and engine but it is a little too expensive.
