BMW X6 |
Here’s a quick opinion on the BMW X6 first released in 2008. Essentially it is supposed to be the sports version of the X5 with its coupe like profile. However in reality it is more like the old Mazda 626 liftback. The design also reminds us of a Volvo S60 but with traditional BMW design themes. The X6 can even be mistaken for a number of 1990’s Korean cars renown for simply being ugly. However since the Korean manufacturers have discovered style so the BMW X6 does stand out in 2012.
Regardless of the exterior design the engines and technology in the X6 is up to date with modern turbo diesel and petrol engines with twin turbos with lots of other electronic driving aids. The power output and performance make the various models some of the fastest SUVs on the road. However the X6 does weigh over 2 tonnes even in basic trim it needs all the performance it can get.
Overall we think the BMW X6 is all about making a styling statement but what sort?
