Here’s a comparison between the New 2014 Nissan X-Trail and the superceded Nissan X-Trail! Of the superseded X-Trail we still think it has one of the best design and packaged interiors, there are so many convenient places to put things. The exterior design was also different from the other SUVs and one of the rare designs that didn’t really make us think if attracted a particular gender. Of course the X-Trail was due for replacement since the interior in particular and look and feel was getting outdated.
2014 Nissan X- Trail vs 2013 Nissan X-Trail exterior: The new X-Trail is a good looking car. Sure it is conservative overall but its a good effort and quite different to the old model. The new model reminds us of what the stylish Mazda CX-7 replacement the CX-5 should have looked like… The older X-Trail is still not too bad on the outside.
2014 Nissan X- Trail vs 2013 Nissan X-Trail interior: The new X-Trail is sleeker but we feel does not have the same space as the old one. The box like older car is probably more flexible but the new can can seat 8 in some versions! The updated interior look and feel mimics the higher quality of other current Nissans and a match for any other new model in 2014. Note that we previously though Nissan interiors were once very cheap looking and feeling! What a change for a better!
2014 Nissan X- Trail vs 2013 Nissan X-Trail engines and technology: The new X-Trail will get carry over engines for the time being but new tech on most of the range in terms of safety and entertainment/convenience features like cameras and lighting and all for the same comparable price makes it a very compelling package specification wise compared to other SUVs.
The new X-Trail is definitely a looking good car with all features you should expect in a 2014. Until the final specifications are release in a few weeks (March 2014) that’s all we can say. It makes the old one just old. More details as they become available.
