Peugeot 3008 Vs Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Comparison

Peugeot 3008
VS

Mitsubishi Pajero Sport

This is the Peugeot 3008 Vs Mitsubishi Pajero Sport comparison for 2018. Both are very different SUVs in terms of design purpose. However the price overlaps and both are two of our favourite SUVs in early 2018 and hence this unlikely comparison. Since there are still options in the 3008 such as the panoramic sunroof and/or metallic paint etc… the 3008 on road pricing probably works tout to the same price to a top range Pajero Sport anyway?

Peugeot 3008 Vs Mitsubishi Pajero Sport exterior comparison: In the city SUV class the 3008 is probably the nicest looking model and the style leader as it has both design elements of modern yet conservative in the same package. The Pajero Sport is a little different in looks being futuristic from front to rear.  The size difference is noticeable though. Regardless the Pajero Sport is ahead of the other brands to make a box look unbox like – who have followed a similar trend Audi and Lexus in particular. We like both designs equally for different reasons although we probably like the Pajero for much longer.

Peugeot 3008 Vs Mitsubishi Pajero Sport interior comparison: The biggest and most flexible interior winner is the Pajero Sport. It is based on the Triton Ute but you don’t notice unless you have one as well. The interior is comfortable and has good quality materials and even the harder plastics look decent. However the design is 2010 and looks a little old but certainly up to the say the Prado standard while looking more car like. Mitsubishi should also be commended for fitting a more upmarket (mid-top range) looking and feeling steering wheel which lifts the interior ambience. On the other hand the 3008 is completely modern in looks and design it’s had to beat at this price point. The 3008 interior is clearly city or urban focused while the Pajero appears to be designed for double duty as a city and genuine off road 4WD. The 3008 has ht nicest interior overall.

Peugeot 3008 Vs Mitsubishi Pajero Sport engine and technology comparison: The 3008 has petrol and diesel options while the Pajero only has a diesel. The engines in the 3008 are modern and decent power likewise the diesel in the Pajero but has the added benefit of a long term reliability record. If an engine in the Pajero Sport was built for a commercial vehicle when driving it’s hard to tell as it drives just just any other turbo diesel we’ve driven to date. For 2018 the Pajero Sport has the complete suite of advanced safety system including auto emergency brakes and even adaptive cruise control across the model range although you get some extras in the top range. Unfortunately the 3008 doesn’t have adaptive cruise across the range. As a bonus the Pajero Sport also has a standard DAB+ digital radio,Apple and Android connectivity, AC power socket and rear USB power ports which are impressive additions in the price range and of course the proper low range 4WD system. In terms of stereo systems the Pajero has a nice sounding system (don’t think was was a the Rockford Fosgate model – pity) that can be replaced and the 3008 is the nicer clearer sounding stereo if you get the FOCAL branded one. The only problem with he Pajero Sport is the lack of a standard sunroof – so important in city SUVs – NOT.

Peugeot 3008 Vs Mitsubishi Pajero Sport drive report : N/A

The conclusion and winner of the Peugeot 3008 Vs Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is the Pajero Sport. We like both equally for different reasons. The Pajero Sport has a ton of equipment and genuine 4WD capability but missing some features, whereas the 3008 is visually impressive and has a lot of features but it doesn’t have the complete set either and usually at a high price. We are not fussed about the size difference as both have enough space for 4 or 5 people easily. In terms of price the Pajero Sport is a bargain for what you get for on road and off road drives. Current top range pricing is approx $56,000 AUD on the road. Yet the 3008 only slightly above average for the price but it looks more than it’s price suggests and the choice if you don’t go off road. It’s hard to avoid having a good look at the Pajero Sport which is an impressive bargain.
