GWM Haval Cannon Ute

Welcome to the new Mitsubishi Triton Vs GWM Haval Cannon Ute comparison. It is not often we get a new Triton or L200 model and as usual we compare the old model to every other significant competitor selling in around the same class. This time it’s the comparison against the GWM Haval Cannon Ute, a reasonably new model to the market. So how do they compare?

Mitsubishi Triton Vs GWM Haval Cannon Ute exterior comparison: Both utes or light commercials use the standard design template as per any other Ute in the same class. So while they are new designs they don’t look any different from any other Ute. Than the badge of one and put it on another and unless you are family with the models you could mistake them for one another. The Cannon Ute though is noticeably and physically bigger than the Triton.

Mitsubishi Triton Vs GWM Haval Cannon Ute interior comparison: The Cannon Ute has just received a surprise interior update that makes it look almost like the ones in it’s SUV range. While there is nothing unique about the design the ambience makes it a nice place to be in and doesn’t feel like a commercial vehicle. Of course that is dependent on which model grade you buy. There are lots of gadgets dependent on model grade. In comparison the new Triton is a much nicer place to be in than the last model but again it is still an older design language but also resembles it’s non-commercial wagon based SUV models. In the end though the Cannon Ute has the better interior.

Mitsubishi Triton Vs GWM Haval Cannon Ute engine and technology comparison: Both models do not offer any out of the ordinary features however the Triton has the standout 4X4 system that can also be activated as an on road AWD mode. The Triton system is similar to the one in Subaru’s but the Mitsubishi version is more durable. Of note is the diesel engine’s lower power output produced by the Cannon Ute means it won’t be the best thing to drive.

The winner of the Mitsubishi Triton Vs GWM Haval Cannon Ute comparison is neither. That said if you are after the cheapest 4×4 Ute on sale at the moment, the Haval Cannon Ute is the one to buy. GWM can sell them at such low prices because their home market in Chain is not buying them and these are excess stock that they need to get rid off. Unfair dumping – yes but it gives the competition something to work towards and disrupts their complacency. The longer term game is of course the destruction of all other manufacturers – evil laugh.
