Welcome to the new Ford Ranger Vs Mitsubishi Triton comparison for 2023. This was the comparison we where keen to write about due to our long running ‘best package’ award for the Triton. While the Ford Ranger is heavily revised inside and out the Triton only scored a exterior facelift. So how does the latest Ford Ranger compare to the old favourite Mitsubishi Triton.
Ford Ranger Vs Mitsubishi Triton exterior comparison: It’s a simple decision for us and it is the Triton that is the best looking. The Ford Ranger despite having newer refresh is sort of ordinary in terms of looks. It is only the Ranger’s larger size that standout and the old lines that more you look at it.
Ford Ranger Vs Mitsubishi Triton interior comparison: The Rangers interior is quite nice but like the exterior the more you look the more you see and feel parts that are a little less than precise than it should be. The large screens are a standout in the class and gives it a more upmarket look. The Triton’s interior does not match the exterior that’s for sure. It’s very 90’s in terms of design but the best part is the ability customise. While the steering wheel is the nicest part the rest but the appointments are dated but has the same features as the Ranger.
Ford Ranger Vs Mitsubishi Triton engine and technology comparison: The Ranger has a variety of engines, model variants and grades to choose from. The engine choices are pretty good but due to the extra weight not as good as they should be. In comparison the Triton just has the one option that is good for it’s size and weight. Both play the model grade features game hence difficult to compare safety and gadget list.
Ford Ranger Vs Mitsubishi Triton street cred comparison: Once again both have decent street cred but the larger Ranger and Raptor variant will always have the edge. No matter how many largely superfluous bits you add to the outside.
The winner of the Ford Ranger Vs Mitsubishi Triton comparison is a draw. The Triton is still the value for money package. Lots of features and a proper 4WD system and easy to customise interior. It’s only real flaw is the aged interior. In comparison the Ford Ranger is larger with a modern interior and user interface but less efficient and the size makes it more difficult to drive in traffic, park and generally more difficult to manage. Sure it may be more refined but at a much higher cost.
