About this site

We put it up as a web site learning exercise and also that fact that there was not much information about Toyota cars in general at the time apart from the usual complaints and problems.

Initially started by PL as a solo effort Brad then myself decided to join in because we're mates and fellow travelers along with the families and dogs of course!

It has so far been an interesting experience over the years and has developed from a personal to group BLOG about car ownership, purchasing, various other experiences and now comparisons.

This website is designed as a generalist site and we try not to go into technical areas which we are not familiar with or interested.  As one of us always say: learn what you can and ignore what you don't need.

This is also a personal site and will inevitably contain comments and opinions that you may or may not agree with. That's life on the internet. There is absolutely no malicious intent in publishing what we think on the web.

All the specifications figures are from PR published by Toyota and other motor  manufacturers.  Any costs or prices mentioned are the most current at the time of posting but of course there are unforeseen factors that make them inaccurate over time.

As of 2010 the website will start to contain a list of all the various alternatives to the Prado that we're looking at. At least one of use is willing to get a new one or something different - it is just a matter of timing.

About us

We work in IT and initially for different organizations. However since PL and Brad are too busy doing other projects its now my turn! Dan's the name and updating seems to be what I get to do these days!

As individuals we travel lots. Admittedly since the petrol price crisis, the GFC and business requirements we don't travel by road as a first choice.

When we do travel by road it is usually a long distance and often interstate. So the Prado is often the first choice for all the reasons you'll read on this website.

Although I (Dan) maintain the website you will find that parts of it will be written by anyone of us hence different and sometimes conflicting views. Emails will usually be answered by Peter because likes to answer emails from strangers. He's weird...
